One Day, Someday, Maybe

by Marjorie

One day

Someday

Maybe

Our paths will cross again

Like the horizon of sun and sea

The universe will stop for you and me

But one day

Someday

Maybe

That time will tell if feelings changed

Or if they grow stronger and more sincere

Or if they faded the same way as the

Forgotten sympathy of an abandoned grave

One day

Someday

Maybe

Whilst the moon revolves around the earth

And the waves will keep on displacing on the shore

The bottled up emotions that were never said

Will always be a secret; perhaps a hint for an end

These affections hidden in a pile of books

The longing to say the right words

One day

Someday

Maybe

I hope, it will be heard

Like the hush of the wind and the sound of the rain
